Absinthe Private Dining provides an intimate and elegant setting for wedding receptions up to 45 guests.

Absinthe Private Dining is a completely separate room, with its own entrance from Hayes Street, and a private restroom, coat closet, and bar. The room is richly decorated with hand-painted murals, fresh-cut flowers, plush upholstered furniture, and mohair curtains. Natural light pours in the front windows, and is reflected in the sparkle of a pre-1906 earthquake mirror.

The Private Dining menus are created by Absinthe Executive Chef Ryan McIlwraith, and change frequently, to provide seasonal freshness. Cocktails and desserts may be customized for your special day, and we can assist you with menu design, floral arrangements and other details to make your wedding reception an extraordinary occasion.

A Little Slice of Paris in Hayes Valley: Absinthe Brasserie and Bar

“An homage to all things French, Absinthe is still one of my favorite places to eat in the city. Why? It’s a buzzy destination that feels glamorous and special, evoking a one-of-a-kind feeling of Belle Epoque-era Paris,” via SF Bay Times, June, 2019

The Best Restaurants To Take Your Parents To

“The cocktail menu is impressive, but the sommelier also does a great job of explaining and selling the extensive wine list, so maybe start with the former and go from there. There’s something for everyone on the menu, as long as “everyone” enjoys indulgent fare like oysters and Absinthe’s classic coq au vin. (Though, if not, the hamburger never disappoints.)” via Eater SF, May 2019

Drink Here Now 2019

“There are many reasons to head to Hayes Valley, but this classic cocktail spot proves one of the best. The space has been doling out a sinful absinthe list since 1998, as well as good food, superb wine and solid cocktails,” via, March 2019.

17 No-Stress Pre-Theater Dining Destinations

“There’s something to please everyone at this comfortable French brasserie, from expert cocktails and an extensive wine list to a burger and coq au vin. It’s a perennially popular place, so be sure to snag a reservation before bringing your group,” via Eater SF, February 2019
